Premium French broadcaster Canal+ is preparing to unveil the new look for its suite of channels, including a series of refreshed idents as well as a new color and logo story. Most noticeably missing is the Canal name, disappearing from individual channel logos, leaving only the + symbol. Expect to see the new look unveiled sometime in September. The new color pyramid includes blue for movies, green for sports, and orange for family.
A member of a french online community sap54 discovered what looks to be a preview of the new identity in a recent magazine. The new identity will be utilized both for on-air presentation as well as print. Will keep this story updated as the reveal draws near.

As a small separate note, some newsletter subscribers may have been sent an update yesterday re: “Google Chrome”. Apparently, the actual service, Google’s Feedburner, (which managers my subscriptions) mistakenly sent out the update when it had already been posted on June 16, 2009. It is in fact an old blog story and not a new posting.
