Arts and Contemporary Culture Channel, Ovation, Rebrands

[tweetmeme]

US arts & contemporary culture channel, Ovation, has finished rolling out a new visual identity. The rebrand, the first in nearly 3 years, looks to represent the diverse nature of performance, people, art, music, and film across all media platforms. Ovation launched back in April 1996 with the tagline “Make Life Creative”.

A new simplified iconic mark comprised of emanating rings is used to illustrate “how a single creative expression expands to affect the world at large”. A new channel positioning statement “Art Like Never Before. TV Like Nothing Else” launches alongside the refreshed OSP, website, and outdoor media elements. Ovation partnered with Oishii Creative on the campaign.

I’m a fan of NPR & PBS, so channels like Ovation are a welcome addition to the media mix. There are a couple more culture-based channel launches/rebrands developing in Q4 that I am personally following, stay tuned.
